Wallet vs Crossbody case: carry less, or go hands-free?
A Wallet case replaces your wallet. A Crossbody case lets you wear your phone. Here's how each one works and who it suits.

Some cases do more than protect your phone. They change what you carry. A Wallet case lets you leave your wallet at home. A Crossbody case lets you leave your bag at home. Both come in the same designs, so the real question is how you like to move through your day.

Wallet case
A Wallet case is made from animal-friendly artificial leather with a flap that closes over the screen. Inside the flap are slots for cards and a little cash. With the flap closed, both the back and the screen are covered, so your display is protected from scratches in a pocket or bag.
We make it in two styles:
- Printed on the front: the design sits on the front flap, over a black case.
- Printed all over: the design covers the whole outside of the case.
Because of the card slots and flap, a Wallet case is thicker than a Snap or Tough case. That's the trade-off for carrying one thing instead of two.
Best for: people who want to go out with just their phone, cards and keys.
Crossbody case
A Crossbody case is built to be worn. It has a hard polycarbonate back, flexible TPU sides and thick corner bumpers, and loops built into the case for a strap. The case comes without a cord: add one and you can wear your phone across your body, so it's always within reach and your hands are free.
The back is transparent with the design printed on it, so your phone's color shows through. Cords are sold separately in several colors, so you can swap the look without changing the case.
Best for: travel, festivals, school runs, and anyone who's tired of hunting for their phone at the bottom of a bag.
Quick comparison
- Replaces your wallet: Wallet
- Hands-free: Crossbody
- Covers the screen: Wallet
- Slimmer in the hand: Crossbody
- Protection: both cover the back and sides; the Crossbody adds thick corner bumpers, and the Wallet adds a cover over the screen.

Snap vs Tough case: which one should you get?
A Snap case is one slim shell. A Tough case is a hard shell over a rubber lining. Here's how they differ in feel, protection and look, and who each one suits.
